Tickets for the fabulous Elgin Cool Wine Festival are now on sale. This popular festival is set to be another great event in the magnificent Elgin Valley where you can bring your family and friends. Settle in for a weekend in the valley, with the two day pass for the festival, for which you will get your tasting glass and free tastings at the participating wine estates you visit. Live entertainment, outdoor activities and kiddies fun events will keep the family entertained and allow for the serious wine drinkers to chat with the local wine makers, do a vertical wine tasting and experience the unique cool climate wines. There will be spectacular food offerings at some of the estates and of course as usual at the Elgin Railway Market.

Adventure Race
Pop past the race village to do some “dot watching” – as we watch these endurance athletes battle it out over tough terrain and grueling track in these non-stop races. Teams have to self-navigate to various checkpoints across multiple disciplines, cycling, hiking, kloofing, paddling, etc. Each team wears a live tracking device so we are able to see where they are via our live tracking platform.
Come join us for the race finish on Sunday evening, relax with a drink and a pizza and enjoy some live music by Gian Groen and DJ Dirty Harry.

The Elgin Cool Run
The Elgin Cool Run at Almenkerk Wine Estate is the perfect way to kick off the Elgin Cool Wine Festival.
Join us for a 5 or 10km run on this beautiful farm. Expect some beautiful single track through fynbos, rolling hills through autumn leaves and spectacular views over the valley, reflecting on glassy water, as you run past the dams.
We will have a coffee truck ready to serve a strong brew, to kickstart your day.

Shuttle Service for Elgin Cool Wine Festival
A shuttle service will be available from the Elgin Cool Wine Shop at the Elgin Railway Market from 10h00 to 15h00 and the route will be:
- Elgin Vintners
- Paul Wallace
- Almenkerk
- Oak Valley
The shuttle will leave the market on the hour, every hour. It is highly recommended that you book a time slot for the shuttle to guarantee your seat.

NEWTON & CO
Don't plan anything else for the Saturday evening of the festival! Arrive around 18h30 and enjoy some great food and drinks. Popular festival band, Newton & Co, will be playing through the evening and will no doubt get everyone up and rocking to their fabulous music. Selected vendors will be open for meals through the evening and the bar will be in full swing for you to quench your thirst.

SAUVIGNON BLANC VERTICAL TASTING
Andrew Gunn and wine maker, Werner Muller, will host a Sauvignon Blanc vertical tasting in the wine cellar on both the 30th April and 1st May.
