Elgin Harvest Festival

Join in the festivities as we celebrate another harvest in the magnificent Elgin Valley.   This inaugural festival is set to be another great event where you can bring your family and friends either for just a day visit, or settle in for a weekend in the valley.   What is nicer than visiting a farm to harvest your own grapes or pick your own apples!  Live entertainment,  outdoor activities and kiddies fun events will keep the family entertained.  Those wanting to explore the taste of the wonderful cool climate wines from the valley, can visit the many tasting rooms or the Elgin Cool Wine Shop at the Elgin Railway market.  The Elgin Valley boasts its own craft cider and gin and of course there will be spectacular food offerings too.

A highlight of the weekend is the Medieval Harvest Banquet on Saturday 18th March.   Tickets are available from the following outlets:

Cool climate wines are so hot right now, and as home to some of South Africa's finest chardonnay and pinot noir, the Elgin Valley's cool climate, proximity to the ocean, higher altitude and fantastic soils suit the production of two of the noblest grape varietals in the world.  Over Elgin Harvest Festival weekend, we invite you to discover the charms of cool climate pinot and chardonnay. Join us for an impressive line-up of Elgin's
finest. We will share wines that are delicate and sensuous on the palate with lifted fruit that drops the hammer down on the finish - which shows the complexity, length, and casual power of chardonnay and pinot noir cultivated in this region.
